Bees are important !
In Germany there are about 550 different kinds of bees with the honey bee being the most wellknown. The honey bee is one example of how important bees are in all the ecosystems. In Europe, honey bees are responsible for pollinating 80% of all insect-pollinated plants. And the amount of crops harvested from bee-pollinated plants is five times the amount of plants which use different means of pollination.
This alone makes the bee an important domesticated animal which has to be protected.
