The honey bee
Talking about bees, people usually refer to the Western honey
bee, which has been domesticated for honey production and can
be found all over Europe. Honey bees are only a small number of
the roughly 20,000 known species of bees. In Europe, there are
about 700 species of which about 500 can be found in Germany.
The honey bee is one of nine species of bees which live socially in
colonies, whereas the other species are solitary bees.
Bees feed on nectar and pollen. They produce honey as an energy
source during the winter. This is what humans make use of. Beekeepers take the honey and give the bees sugar water as a substitute.

Every day, I fly about 85 kilometres to find nectar and pollen. This is why I'm able to pollinate up to 4500 flowers a day. My hive even even pollinates up to 15 Million flowers every single day.
Mmmmm, Yummy!!!
